From May 1 to 7, numerous Tim Hortons locations in the Estrie and Montérégie regions chose to support Leucan’s cause as part of the Smile Cookie Campaign.
Thanks to the generosity (and sweet tooth) of customers, the initiative has produced remarkable results!
An impressive $250,903 was raised during the event, placing Leucan second among all campaign beneficiaries in Quebec and ninth across Canada.
The partnership between the chain’s restaurant locations and Leucan has been running for years to support children affected by cancer and offer invaluable support to their families. Thanks to the Smile Cookie Campaign initiated by Tim Hortons in 2011, over $1.4 million has already been donated to Leucan, helping to fund numerous services adapted to the needs of families, such as social and recreational activities to break the isolation caused by the disease.
Teamwork pays off
The success of this campaign would not be possible without the commitment and solidarity of Tim Hortons customers, who contributed by purchasing Smile Cookies. Each sale helped bring a smile to the faces of children suffering from cancer and their family in difficult times.
Many thanks also to Tim Hortons, as well as to all participating franchisees and their employees, who worked together to make this campaign a resounding success. Special mention to Charles Salvas, Senior Manager, Regional Marketing, Eastern Quebec at Tim Hortons, for his unfailing support.
The support of numerous partners such as painter Caroline Lesmeries, Conceptromec, Desjardins, Granby Toyota and Sherbrooke Toyota was also instrumental in the fundraising and success of this campaign.
The last tip of the hat goes, without a doubt, to the devoted volunteers as well as to the families of Leucan. Their hard work and dedication made it possible to prepare, decorate and deliver the tens of thousands of smile cookies, making this campaign an unforgettable and hope-inspiring event.
