Leucan would like to thank iA Financial Group for their recent donation of $60,000 to the Association, as part of a three-year $180,000 commitment. Of this amount, $40,000 is allocated to clinical research and $20,000 to the psychosocial fund, supporting children with cancer and their families.
In addition to providing essential support in the fight against pediatric cancer, this gesture enables Leucan to listen to the physical and emotional needs expressed by the child and his or her family as soon as the diagnosis is announced.

The importance of clinical research
Clinical research in pediatric oncology enables children to receive appropriate treatment, while limiting side effects and the risk of after-effects. Thanks in part to the innovations generated by clinical research, today 82% of children diagnosed with cancer survive their diagnosis and get a chance to grow up.
Reducing side effects is also essential, since 70% of children who survive pediatric cancer will develop after-effects. In 30% of cases, these problems will be severe.
