Leucan announces that its executive director, Pascale Bouchard, has informed the board of trustees of her decision to leave office at the end of the year 2021. Mrs. Bouchard joined the Association for children with cancer in 2015.

It has been a privilege to work within such a wonderful Association. The trust that families, partners, donors, volunteers and employees have put in me, has driven me to always surpass myself. I leave Leucan with a feeling of pride over the projects and progress we achieved as a team in the past six years, and mostly, with gratitude towards every committed and generous individual I had the chance to work with.”Pascale Bouchard

Leucan wishes to express its gratitude to Madam Bouchard for the work she accomplished in the past six years for the Association. Not only is Leucan in strong financial health, the Association is in better standing than ever and has made several key advances for its members, notably the creation of the Oral and Dental Services in Pediatric Oncology Program in 2019 by the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux. Mrs. Bouchard also contributed to the continued success of Leucan’s flagship event, the Leucan Shaved Head Challenge.

Thanks to her leadership and deep commitment to the cause, Pascale has been able to skillfully lead Leucan activities and pursue its mission which is to promote the recovery and the well-being of cancer stricken children and their families. The Leucan board of trustees is exerting every effort to ensure a smooth transition and has already started the selection process to determine Mrs. Bouchard’s successor. Until then, the management team in place is strong and in a position to ensure that the activities and mission of Leucan are carried on.Pascal Proulx, president of the Association
