For 28 years now, Fairmont Le Château Montebello has been supporting Leucan’s bereaved families, offering them the opportunity to take a break, regroup and enjoy some much-needed rest and relaxation. Every year, the “Une histoire de cœur” program offers families the chance to stay at the Château Montebello in the Outaouais region, with a two-night getaway courtesy of the establishment.

In 2023, this precious partnership enabled 48 families and 19 couples to enjoy a rejuvenating stay at the Château.

This initiative, made possible by the Château Montebello’s dedicated team, who have been wholeheartedly involved with Leucan since 1997, will continue in 2024. The Château welcomed several families this winter, and will continue to do so this spring.

“It’s a privilege for our entire team to welcome Leucan families for a comforting stay at our Château. It’s an opportunity for us to take care of the families, offering them a precious moment of respite to create pleasant memories. It’s heartwarming to collaborate with Leucan for the 28th consecutive year and, we hope, for many years to come.” Steve Chang, General Manager, Fairmont Le Château Montebello

Thank you to Mr. Steve Chang, Ms. Nathalie Beauchamp, Director of Sales and Marketing, and the entire team at the Fairmont Le Château Montebello for their invaluable collaboration and warm welcome to Leucan families.

Leucan’s palliative care and bereavement support service, an essential service

When the worst happens, Leucan offers listening, support and counselling services during the palliative phase. Leucan’s advisors ensure personalized follow-up with each family going through this ordeal, in order to assess their needs and listen to what they are going through.

Bereaved families also have access to a number of Leucan services, such as massage therapy, financial assistance and socio-affective activities to break the isolation, like a stay at the Fairmont Le Château Montebello.
