Daniel Tremblay-Girard
Executive Chef Delta Saguenay Hotel
Daniel, our executive chef at the Delta since 2019, with no less than 23 years’ experience to his credit, has a real passion for the restaurant business.
A native of Arvida, he has always worked in the restaurant business, and with his passion for food and metal, he is a multi-faceted chef.
His greatest inspiration comes from Marco White, whose motto is “keep it simple”: keep it simple and let the ingredient show what it can do.
With his quiet strength and generosity, his dedication to feeding and satisfying customers is a real playground for him, where passion knows no bounds.
Dan is a personality who continually needs to surpass himself, to go and get his adrenalin to serve, and guaranteeing human pleasure is for him his best reward.
Tonight, the chef has created a prestigious plate where the flavors remain authentic and gourmet, let your mouth water and be generous with the strokes of your fork.
David Janelle
Chef – La Cuisine
David Janelle has been the restaurant’s Chef since 2012. A native of Saguenay, he makes it a point of honor to put local products at the forefront. A forest lover and wild gatherer, he’s always on the lookout for new boreal flavors. Grand winner of the Aliments du Québec award in 2019, he is also a member of Zone Boréale, which encourages local purchasing. His involvement in the community is appreciated by many, and he teaches children in several schools.
Alicia Deschênes
Pastry chef – Delta
Alicia, our 21-year-old pastry chef from Chicoutimi, is a graduate with a passion for her profession.
Alicia has been part of our team since 2022. Her dedication and love for creation make her a talented individual who loves to awaken the child in us with her recipes in the flavors of Prout’s madeleines.
Alicia loves people and their gourmet side, and she’s a lady who knows how to find the right emotion and bring a refined moment to life with her sweet passion.
Alicia advocates local produce while working with the seasons, her respect for nature and her commitment to ensuring that every recipe, every pastry is a delight brought down from heaven, because yes, tonight we’re proud and happy to announce that Alicia will be sending you off to sweet heaven with her signature dessert.
Finally, Alicia would like to share with you her adage, taken from a fine gastronome, the famous
“Ratatouille”.
“Anyone can cook, but only the intrepid will become geniuses”.
