I’ve been working with Leucan for 10 years, and over the years I’ve been able to talk with families whose children had cancer, and I’ve seen first-hand the impact Leucan had on them. I’ve met children who unfortunately didn’t survive their battle! Each time, I say to myself, ‘Luckily, Leucan was there for them during their ordeal! I personally feel that the public is not sufficiently aware of the importance of Leucan for families diagnosed with pediatric cancer. So I’ve agreed to become an ambassador for the Défi des Chefs to help you discover this organization, and I’m doing so in the name of the little ones who have left and those who are giving their all to stay!

While research, care and the fight to beat cancer in our young people continue, Leucan remains an unwavering support at the heart of our community, offering invaluable help to children, their parents and loved ones. Having been up close and personal in the fight against this disease, I know how crucial every moment and every gesture of support is. For me, getting involved in my own way is a form of profound solidarity and a sincere tribute to those who work every day to make a difference. I’m lucky to have healthy children, and I measure that privilege every day. As a father, I can’t imagine the pain experienced by children with cancer and their families. Some members of my entourage have seen their daily lives turned upside down by their child’s illness, and their courage still inspires me today. Leucan’s essential mission provides them with invaluable support: it funds research, offers support and acts as a balm to the heartbreaking realities. Philanthropy is an important part of my life, and it is with humility and determination that I take on the role of ambassador for the Leucan Chefs’ Challenge. Together, let’s make a real difference!

A native of the Aquitaine region of France, Joël Lahon’s first job in the restaurant business was in a large Michelin-starred establishment. His taste for travel and his curiosity led him to participate in the opening of establishments in major cities in the United States, the Bahamas, Japan and Australia. He has developed an exemplary rigor in cooking for major stars and a demanding high-end clientele.
