Beloved comedian Mathieu Dufour ( Math Duff ) never does things halfway! Known for his crazy ideas and charisma, he announced today a gesture as audacious as it is symbolic: he will shave his hair… once he has raised $500,000 for Leucan, as part of the Leucan Shaved Head Challenge, presented by Proxim.
Mathieu’s long hair, which has become as emblematic as his flamboyant personality, will fall to the ground as a sign of solidarity with children with cancer. “I always knew that if I did something with my hair, it had to be something special,” he says. His commitment has no deadline: whether it takes him two weeks or two years, he’s ready to wait until he reaches his ambitious goal.
Leucan calls this gesture unprecedented. “It’s a first in the history of the Leucan Shaved Head Challenge. Never before has anyone set a goal of this magnitude before shaving their head,” says Juli Meilleur, the Association’s Executive Director.
The donation campaign is officially launched, and Mathieu invites all his subscribers, fans and allies to contribute. Every donation, large or small, brings him closer to his goal and enables Leucan to offer even more essential services to families whose children have cancer.
