On Sunday, November 12, 80 children of Leucan and their families were welcomed to the Bell Centre for the Hockey Fights Cancer evening. The Montreal Canadiens have been dedicating this game to children with cancer to support them in their fight against the disease for many years. This incredible initiative, initiated by the NHL, celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2023.

A memorable day full of surprises

On arrival, the children and their families were greeted by members of the Canadiens’ management team, players’ wives and several well-known sports journalists. Gifts, face painting, games, snacks – and a great atmosphere!

Leucan’s children were able to take part in many unique activities: access to the players’ bench during the warm-up period, carrying the flag on the rink, zamboni rides and, above all, a meeting with the players after the game. An emotionally-charged event they’ll remember for a very long time.
