Leucan is very pleased to announce that, thanks to the long and snowy winter we experienced in Quebec this year, our edition of the Leucan Ski Challenge generated much more funds than expected. Thus, $150,000 is now being redistributed in direct financial assistance to families of children with cancer who received a diagnosis between April 1, 2018 and March 31, 2019.
Carol Beaudry, Provincial Director, Family Services, Research and Partnerships, explains: “We know that the financial needs in the first year following the diagnosis are significant. That is why we are delighted to be able to help families benefit from additional financial assistance this year. Around 230 families will receive an extra amount of money this summer.”
