Leucan Montérégie is pleased to announce that a record amount of $115,470 was raised during the third edition of the Leucan Défi des chefs, presented by Desjardins Securities. The fundraising event was held on March 28 at Dock 619 in Longueuil.

During this evening full of emotions and flavours, the 280 guests were able to taste original dishes concocted by the area’s great chefs. The guests had to vote for their favorite dish in each category.

The big winners of the evening:

  • Winning chef for the best tapas: Élisabeth Racine of the restaurant Le Millésime in Saint-Hyacinthe with her scallop tortellini, pesto cream sauce and mussels, topped with a tuile of Oka cheese.
  • Winning pastry chef for the best dessert: Rémy Couture of Crémy Pâtisserie in Boucherville with his camerise and black sesame puff.
  • Winning baristas for the best coffee: Geneviève Loignon and Anthony Chrétien La Finca, coffee and local market in Montreal for their latté cornet.

Leucan would like to highlight the commitment of the event’s honorary president, David Lemieux, vice president and general manager, Desjardins Securities, as well as the president of the ambassadors committee, Gilbert de Moskovaki, branch manager, Desjardins Securities. Involved since the first edition in 2018, Desjardins Securities made an exceptional contribution to the third edition as a presenting partner and by bringing together over 80 guests from its network.

Leucan also thanks Intact Insurance who offered the welcome cocktail and small bites to the guests.
