Leucan is proud to announce that the 2023 Leucan Ski Challenge, co-presented by Fenplast and Desjardins, has raised $1.4 million. The event reached a record amount for the second year in a row thanks to our generous participants! Since the first edition in 2006, a total of more than $10 million has been raised by over 27,000 participants.

This year, the Leucan Ski Challenge took place on six different mountains across the province of Quebec. Each participant committed to skiing for several hours in order to raise donations for children with cancer.

The Leucan Ski Challenge, an important event for Leucan’s mission

A total of 2241 skiers and snowboarders hit the slopes in solidarity with children with cancer in 2023.

The Leucan Ski Challenge is an important event for Leucan. We are extremely proud and humbled to be able to count on the support of our loyal participants who go above and beyond for the cause year after year. Their great dedication to Leucan is demonstrated by today’s results! I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the participating mountains for their hospitality and their precious commitment to the Leucan Ski Challenge. You have a direct impact on hundreds of families across the province. Juli Meilleur, Executive Director of Leucan

A successful expansion of the corporate component

For the first time this year, the corporate component was offered to participants from all mountains. This section of the event was very successful, reaching 1207 registrants, accounting for more than half of the participants.

The corporate component consisted of creating a team of four to eight people, raising a minimum of $1,500 or $2,000* for Leucan and participating in teambuilding activities.
*The minimum amount varied by mountain

An accomplishment made possible by partners with a big heart

Leucan wishes to acknowledge the generosity of the Leucan Ski Challenge co-presenters, Fenplast and Desjardins, as well as the provincial spokesperson, Félix Séguin. Leucan also wishes to thank the volunteers, regional partners and sponsors. This 18th edition could not have been possible without them.
