Covid-19: Leucan adjusts its family services offer to all members of the Association

Leucan has been closely monitoring developments related to the COVID-19 pandemic and the potential impact on its members, employees, volunteers and partners. Following government recommendations, and as an organization working with vulnerable clientele, Leucan wishes to take all the necessary preventive measures to limit the risk of the virus spreading. Aware of the concerns related to COVID-19, but even more, of the impact of pediatric cancer in the context of a pandemic, Leucan is once again adjusting its family service’s offer.

Adjustment of the services offer to family-members of Leucan

  • All socio-recreational activities, group activities or meetings by August 31st are canceled or postponed;
  • The social activities in the hospitals (meals or other) are canceled, Leucan will follow the hospital’s directives regarding the presence of our employees (playrooms, massage therapy, counselor);
  • All respite weekends for families with children in treatment scheduled by September 30 are canceled or postponed;
  • The Leucan-CSN Summer Camp is canceled;
  • The Expedition is also canceled;
  • Massage therapy service offered at home is cancelled until new notice;
  • School awareness program can be provided according to our available resources and the special measures in place at the child’s school;
  • Always in place is the Emotional support services: do not hesitate to contact our teams;

Leucan will continue to follow the guidelines of health authorities at the local and national government levels to determine the best measures to take to ensure the safety and health of its members, staff and volunteers and its partners.
