Since 2018, Desjardins Securities (DS) has been committed to supporting Leucan through its role as presenter for the Leucan Chefs’ Challenge in Montérégie. Thanks to their generosity, the company has donated a total of $50,000 to support children with cancer.
On March 26, 2024, the Leucan Montérégie Chefs’ Challenge once again became an event that was not to be missed in the region, bringing together talented chefs to compete in a unique gastronomic experience. Seven chefs impressed and delighted the taste buds of 200 guests, all united in support of Leucan.
We wish to highlight the involvement of Gilbert De Moscovaki, Branch Director at Desjardins Securities in Brossard, who served as a valued ambassador for the event. The chef’s challenge: Leucan represents a significant moment for Mr. De Moscovaki’s community involvement.
This year’s spokesperson, Julien, has had an inspiring journey. Diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in February 2020 at the age of 8, he has received the unwavering support of his family, friends, and the Leucan team. Today, aged 12, Julien is in remission and is currently enjoying the joys of childhood.
Financial support is at the heart of Desjardins Securities’ commitment. Illness is never anticipated in people’s budgets, but clinical research investments in pediatric oncology provide families with what matters most: a potential cure for their child. Since 2018, DS has united professionals from the corporate world and the general public in the Montérégie region to ensure that Leucan remains present alongside families like Julien’s.
