On the eve of National School Support Staff Day, Leucan is proud to announce the 24th edition of the Leucan Halloween Campaign, powered by Classcraft. Elementary and preschool schools, as well as the general public, are invited to participate in this fun and educational campaign, formerly known as Leucan’s Halloween Shooters. Back for a 3rd consecutive year, the Association is offering new activities and various prizes to be won.

Leucan wishes to highlight the exceptional work of the support staff in Quebec schools, who are indispensable allies in the success of this project:

The school support staff does a remarkable job every day and their support during Leucan’s Halloween Campaign makes a difference, year after year. Thanks to them, millions of dollars have been raised to support children with cancer and their families over the past 23 editionsJulie Veilleux, Director of Communications, Leucan

A campaign that is fun and important

Each participating school will have its own virtual fundraising page where the children’s friends and family and the general public can make a donation. Participating schools will also have access to a host of interactive activities that promote learning, discussion and civic engagement. The colouring contest is also back this year and offers young people across Quebec the chance to win prizes, including DeSerres and Normandin gift cards.

Leucan’s Halloween Campaign helps finance several essential services, including awareness and support in schools. This service helps support young people when they return to school.

This is often a very anxious time for young people and our presence on their first day at school is very reassuring. The visit to the classroom allows us to answer all of their classmates’ questions and allows the child to feel more comfortable opening up about the disease.”Christelle Hains-Robitaille, Leucan's Family Services Advisor

Classcraft joins Leucan to offer teachers a classroom management tool

Leucan is delighted to have Classcraft as a partner in this year’s Halloween Campaign. The association between the two Quebec-based organizations is a natural one, as they share many values in their respective service offerings, including improving school culture for students through creative and engaging initiatives.

Classcraft is putting forward several fun elements during the Leucan Halloween Campaign. All registered schools will be able to obtain a valid school license from the moment they register until November 15. A draw for five free annual school licenses will be held among all participating schools.
