Loïc Challenge
Deeply moved by the events in the lives of two of its members, the Triomax Club brought together all of Drummondville’s cycling groups to create the Loïc Challenge: a 24-hour cycle-o-thon for Leucan, which quickly became a must for all cyclists in the area! In 2010 over 450 participants helped raise nearly $45,000. The Loïc Challenge takes place on a closed course in the city’s industrial park. Leucan wishes to thank all the participants, sponsors and volunteers of this event.
Pierre Jackson and Co's comedy show
A born event organizer, Pierre Jackson is full of ideas when it comes to raising funds for Leucan. In 2005 and 2006 he organised a softball game with some of Quebec’s celebrities. In 2007, he took up a greater challenge and, together with three colleagues from the Journal de Trois-Rivières, he walked the distance from La Tuque to Trois-Rivières! In 2009, he took a step up and staged a comedy show with comedians François Léveillée, Laurent Paquin, Sylvain Larocque and Julie Caron. This comedy show is now an annual event where comedians and artists come together to raise money with laughter.
