Shaved Head Challenge
End of 2010 registration - October

With more than 35 head-shaving sites across Quebec the D-Day of the Challenge, this event is without a doubt THE most important one in Quebec where people have their heads shaved to support the cause of children with cancer. It is the largest of its kind not only because of the number of participants and the amount of money raised, but also for the number of sites operating simultaneously. Challenges are also held by groups in companies and schools on dates of their choice.
 
Beyond its fundraising objective to support Leucan’s numerous services offered in all Quebec regions, as well as clinical research, the Challenge is a gesture of solidarity towards children with cancer who undergo changes to their body image such as hair loss during chemotherapy. This gesture has a major impact on sick children and helps to play down changes to their body image by encouraging them to accept treatment and by helping them to better adapt to everyday life. Leucan HUMA Challenge
From September 25 to October 9, 2010
Adventure in Ecuador

The Leucan HUMA Challenge is a fundraising adventure trip involving personal, cultural, physical and even fundraising challenges for the participants. But above all, it is an amazing way to live a totally fulfilling experience and to help a cause.

The second edition of the Leucan HUMA Challenge (Adventure in Ecuador) will take place from September 25 to October 9, 2010. During this fundraising adventure trip, the participants will discover two areas of Ecuador by trekking, cycling, rafting and horseback riding: the Andes and the Amazonia. Join us! Money Box Campaign
October 2010
For Quebec Primary schools

Supported by students, teachers and volunteers, the Halloween My Friend Needs My Help Money Box Campaign is a province-wide fundraising event geared towards Quebec primary schools. The money raised allows Leucan to finance services in their respective regions, such as the school life services.

Schools can register through Leucan and receive supporting material in September or October. With the help of their teachers, students manage the campaign. Following this event, schools are invited to participate in the "Help Us by Counting the Collected Money!" contest. This way, Leucan volunteers benefit from the generous help from schools. This helps build team spirit between teachers and students. A simple and educational project!

The Ball of Leucan

The Ball of Leucan is our grand benefit evening organised in partnership with Club Sportif MAA. The second edition, Arlequino, under the patronage of Honorary President Mr. Gerry Frappier, President and General Manager of RDS, will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2010. Italian buffoons, masks, commedia dell’arte…you do not want to miss this event! You can buy tickets at $350 each and tables or sponsorships at $3,500, $5,000 or $15,000.
