Shaved Head Challenge
June 12, 2011 (provincial date)

With more than 35 head-shaving sites across Quebec the D-Day of the Challenge, this event is without a doubt THE most important one in Quebec where people have their heads shaved to support the cause of children with cancer. It is the largest of its kind not only because of the number of participants and the amount of money raised, but also for the number of sites operating simultaneously. Challenges are also held by groups in companies and schools on dates of their choice.
 
Beyond its fundraising objective to support Leucan’s numerous services offered in all Quebec regions, as well as clinical research, the Challenge is a gesture of solidarity towards children with cancer who undergo changes to their body image such as hair loss during chemotherapy. This gesture has a major impact on sick children and helps to play down changes to their body image by encouraging them to accept treatment and by helping them to better adapt to everyday life. Omnium Michel Blouin
September 2011

For more than seven years, Michel Blouin’s friends have been organizing a golf Omnium in his memory. The first edition raised the amount of $13,000. Ambitious, enthusiastic and determined, these friends committed to surpass themselves every year, and they achieved their goal in 2010 by raising the amount of $100,250 in donations for Leucan in a single edition. Since their beginning in 2004, they handed $325,000 to Leucan and many have been involved in the organization. Special thanks to the 2010 edition organizers: Mr. Philippe Guay, Mrs. Geneviève Vigneault, Mrs. Isabelle Gagnon, Mrs. Isabelle Deslandes, Mr. Martin Chapados, Mrs. Renée Roy and the Honorary President, Mr. Pascal Ialenti, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Venmar.

Money Box Campaign

For Quebec Primary schools

Supported by students, teachers and volunteers, the Halloween My Friend Needs My Help Money Box Campaign is a province-wide fundraising event geared towards Quebec primary schools. The money raised allows Leucan to finance services in their respective regions, such as the school life services.

The Leucan Experience

The Leucan Experience is our grand benefit evening organised at Arsenal Complex. Under the patronage of Honorary President Mr. Luc Bisaillon, Vice-President, Commercial Financial Services, RBC Royal Bank, we welcome you on November 3, 2011, in the warm and sunny atmosphere of a classic Californian Beach Club. Leucan 12-Hour Ski Challenge
