Become a Member
Leucan has over 8,400 members throughout Quebec. They are undeniably important to our mission. There is two categories of members:
1) Active Member
Someone who is part of the immediate family, who lives or has previously lived with a child who has or previously had cancer, or a person of 16 years of age or older, who has or previously had cancer as a child or teenager.
An active member of Leucan:
- Benefits from Leucan’s services in accordance with current eligibility requirements
- Receives L’espoir newsletter (in French only)
- Can attend the annual general meeting and submit his/her candidacy to the Board of Trustees.
2) Associate Member
Someone who shows a strong interest in the cause of cancer-stricken children.
An associate member of Leucan:
- Receives L’espoir newsletter (in French only)
- Can attend the annual general meeting and submit his/her candidacy to the Board of Trustees.
How to Become a Member?
To become a member of Leucan, all you have to do is fill in the membership form by contacting us at: 514 731-3696, 1 800 361-9643 or info@leucan.qc.ca. There are no membership fees for an active member the first year following the diagnosis and fees of five dollars per year per parent for subsequent years. As for an associate member, the membership fees are ten dollars per year. A person remains an active or associate member of Leucan as long as the annual fees are paid. Formal members will receive, by mail, the membership renewal forms along with the invitation to the annual general meeting.
